Brelonda Walker, LPC, NCC, DCC, President of Dominion Counseling & Consulting Services
Brelonda Walker is a licensed professional counselor in the state of North Carolina. She has over 10 years of training and experience in providing individual and group counseling, of which more than four years was in a university-based counseling setting.
Mrs. Walker specializes in providing diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy, and consultations. Her extensive background provides her the capability to serve clients experiencing mood disorders, eating disorders, grief and loss, anxiety disorders, chemical dependency, ADHD, and occupational/employment problems.
Mrs. Walker is a credentialed member of the National Board for Certified Counselors and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). She is affiliated with two ACA chartered groups, the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling and the Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development. Mrs. Walker is also an active member of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, Mrs. Walker was certified as a distant counselor, allowing her to provide counseling via phone, email, and other media sources.
In August 2006, Brelonda was selected as the Regional Coordinator for the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina (LPCANC) for region six. Mrs. Walker also serves on the Board of Directors for The House of Love and Deliverance, a shelter located in Mooresville, NC for women suffering from mental illnesses and addictions.
Brelonda received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama at Huntsville and her Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in Huntsville, Alabama. Brelonda has also received doctoral training and credits from Walden University.
