Dominion Counseling & Consulting Services offers a professional and constructive process to improve the quality of life for people of all backgrounds. No matter where they are in life, our certified counselors can work with each client to assist them in coming to a resolution of their issue(s).
At Dominion, we believe that although benefits are expected from the counseling process, the client must assume the primary responsibility in coming to resolution. We caringly work with each client to ensure this process is individually tailored to assist in maximizing the benefits rendered.
The therapeutic process our counselors implement for clients includes four phases:
• Clarification of the presenting issue(s) and goal setting will occur during this phase.
• A treatment approach will be selected that will allow for maximum utilization of each session.
• The third phase consists of psychotherapy. The client may receive supportive and/or constructive feedback, behavior modification strategies, skills training, and other techniques deemed useful and consistent with the clients' therapeutic goals.
• The final stage entails an evaluation of the clients' progress and deciding whether to conclude the counseling relationship.
